True Auto-Pilot Lead Generation…
This model is a traffic generating machine for your website, for positioning yourself as the “go to guru” and above all else – getting website visitors to identify themselves so they actually become leads. It’s then that you’re able to qualify them and they may well become clients.
We all need leads but leads without qualification is useless. Otherwise you spend your life running around in circles trying to “qualify” them.
That’s the whole point in developing a system so your visitors follow a “pathway”. Here’s 3 quick points on that:
- Get them to identify themselves. Remember, not everyone is ready to buy now.
- By capturing their details you’re able to continue to market to them until they are ready, or at least you’re working on them getting them into some level of trust. You’re developing a relationship with them which is key to your success.
- If at some stage they opt out, that’s fine. You’ve saved yourself a heap of time and they’ve “dis-qualified” themselves.

Going with my theme “there’s no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people” (thanks South Park)…would there be any value providing extra incentive for people to opt in? ie in addition to your normal incentive, something like ‘be the 700th subscriber and win lunch for a week at Food for Me’?

Absolutely Andrew,
Mark actually has quite a refined qualification process. The first offer is just for their email and name. That will always give you the greatest odds of opt ins.
From there Mark has another great offer which will give him the postal details and also their contact number. As you can see by doing it this way it’s all incremental so the ‘resistance’ is low for the client to part with their full details. All the while Mark is building a relationship with them. At the same time they’re being ‘qualified’. It’s a beautiful thing.
