The Client:

Sean and Steve are a proudly West Australian owned and run business located in Port Kennedy servicing the length and breadth of our diverse state.

With combined experience of 50 years, we take pride in all areas of workmanship, show integrity and are skilled in the arts of cabinetry and furniture manufacture.

The website, although rebuilt with Smarter Websites 4 years ago, they needed a website refresh. They also wanted to add a focus on DIY flat packs.

Plus we needed to increase the 'click-throughs' and site visit times.

Rebuild the website using the new website 'front end page editor' technology.

On the home page add in 'receive obligation free quote' form. Still directed visitors to the 2 original main service offering types, residential and commercial, but also make people aware of the new offering of DIY Flat Packs, and created a new page for that offering.

We also added multiple ways to get site visitors to where we wanted them to go.

Quite often when we're updating a site we'll create a clone on a development domain and rebuild the site on that dev domain, then transfer that across when completed.

In this situation we wanted to minimise the refresh build cost so we did the rebuild live. We updated the software platform, created a full screen shot of the site to serve as the interim website while we did the refresh, behind the scenes.

We also created a custom page style that we rolled out across the 3 primary product pages.

The new refreshed website is stunning. It loads quicker, also look brillient on a mobile device.

Sean and Steve are also now able to promote the new DIY Flat Pack service, with a new web page and quote form request.

The site with it's new 'multiple' ways to get people to click through to the custom styled pages means that site visits times are longer, and more page visits whcih Google loves.

The Client:

Nessy is the owner of a locally owned and operated full-service cleaning business that has been servicing the Jurien Bay and surrounding areas for many years and with a team of trained and experienced housekeepers.

Delivering consistently superior results to individuals and businesses, real estate agents, property managers and office complexes.

The business is broken into five areas. Cleaning services, maintenance services, holiday house management and accommodation.

Nessy had two different, extremely outdated and non functional websites on two different domains. 

Both websites were not showcasing the business well and was not user friendly.

Nessy wanted to advertise her holiday homes and take tentative bookings through the website. As well as showcasing the cleaning services, maintenance services, holiday house management and accommodation sections.

The plan was to build the website on our smart page builder platform, install our bundle of software and plugins, as well as setup hosting on our dedicated servers. Once the website was built the other domain name to point to the new website.

The new website was designed and built, with strong doorway buttons and call to actions for the cleaning services, maintenance services, holiday house management and accommodation sections.

Then importing the accommodation listings from the other directory sites Nessy had them listed on. Adding a tentative booking form that captured the customers details and tentative dates.

 

After setting up Nessy's new hosting account and website platform with us, we mapped out the best way to design the new homepage. Keeping in mind there were four different services we had to incorporate into the website.

We created four doorway buttons straight under the hero banner linking to the four main services, cleaning, maintenance and holiday house management. This was also set under sub menus in the header and accommodation was a stand alone doorway button.

All of the accommodation listing were put together and imported into the website. Each listing had its own tentative booking form, which captured the customers details, dates they wish to book and the listings details.

A few minor edits were made by the client't request and then the website went live.

 

The transformation from the existing website to the new website is enormous. Not only does the website look 1000 times better, but it is also now completely functional, user friendly and it clearly showcases exactly what the business has to offer.

Since the launch of the new website Nessy's Cleaning and Management Services are seeing an increase in website visitors that are now converting into enquiries and sales. It has cut the administration costs in half. Their online presence is now creating positive results and a more professional image for the business.

The Client:

Owners Brad and Judy are in the plumbing and gas industry. Aus Star are fully equipped to handle indoor and exterior plumbing, commercial installations, modifications, new hot water system installs and repairs, plumbing maintenance and more. Also offering gas services such as leak detection and new gas hot water units.

The team plumbers and gas fitters are licensed, trained professionals, having enhanced their skills through years of experience and regular training.

Brad and Trudy wanted to start focusing on 'hot water systems' and 'blocked drains' as being one of the main 'cash cows' in their business. The website needed to drive visitors to these pages with the correct doorway buttons and strong call to actions.

The website software and design had become outdated and needed a complete homepage revamp. The doorway buttons and call to actions needed updating to collaborate with the businesses new focus and direction.

The perfect solution for Aus Star was our homepage refresh package. Upgrading the website's software to the latest platform, plugins and to rebuild the homepage to be a modern, refreshed and high converting page.

In this particular redesign, a wire frame was created for the homepage redesign, to ensure the right journey would be taken for the visitors once landed on the homepage. The sole focus being to direct traffic to 'hot water systems' and 'blocked drains'.

The website was converted over to the new Smart Page Builder platform. The software and plugins were upgraded and installed to be running the latest versions.

Brad and Trudy's new focus within the business was their two main 'cash cows' hot water systems and blocked drains. This needed to be captured on the website and redirecting website traffic to the two main areas.

We created a wire frame of the new website and the new journey visitors will be taken on, focusing on directing visitors to hot water systems and block drains, with strong call to actions.

After the launch of the new homepage there has already been an increase in ‘click-throughs’ meaning more pages visited, more page conversions, so more brownie points with Google.

Also, an increase in website visit times.

Brad and Judy are now seeing increased sale enquiries for hot water systems and blocked drains. As they are on a monthly dynamic seo plan, having an upgraded and refreshed website really helps with getting the right results.

The Client:

The tavern is under new management and had major renovations prior to re-opening in the second half of 2018.

Daphne gave the tavern and upstairs accommodation a whole new interior, while it has an updated look, the original charm and character of the building will be retained.

A classic country pub with quality food and great customer service, able to compliment all that Beverley has to offer.

The Freemasons Tavern had very minimal online presence, a Google business listing and a couple directory listings was all that existed. 

Daphne needed a website built quite quickly after taking over the ownership of the tavern. 

The website needed to showcase all the elements of the tavern and the upgrade it received.

Daphne was very busy with the new renovations and taking over the management of the Tavern. She had little time and photos to provide us for the website build. 

Smarter Websites just had to take control of the design and build process of the website, to get Daphne an online presence live as soon as possible.

After researching what information we could find online about the Tavern and what Daphne provided us we started the design and build process.

 

 

We built the website around the three areas of the business 'Tavern', 'Restaurant', 'Accommodation'. Creating a page for each section and a hero banner slider to best showcase the elements of the tavern.

We sourced photos using our own image library, once the Tavern's renovation was completed, Daphne was able to upload her own photos or was able to keep using what we had provided.

The pages were completed with what content we had and the rest had placeholder text and images until Daphne was able to provide the updated content when the renovations were completed.

It's still early days but now when 'Freemasons Tavern' is searched in Google there is a website presence. Visitors are then able to see the Tavern has new ownership, updated contact details and the revamp of the premises.

The website has the ability to expand and keep up with the growth of the business and online trend with the platform we built in on. This will allow Daphne to take her business further online when she is ready too.

The Client:

A&M Joinery has proudly supplied the local building industry with quality joinery products since 1980. Originally operating from Armadale, A&M Joinery moved to its new premises in Rockingham in September 2008.

Locally owned and operated family business, are at the forefront of the designing and manufacturing of high quality bi-fold doors and windows, pivot doors, solid timber doors and colonial doors. Manufacture a range of window frames including casement, awning, double hung, louvre and sashless windows.

Luke had a very basic website that was built 5 years ago. The design and layout was very outdated and not visually appealing. With minimal call to actions, A&M Joinery were not generating many leads from their website.

In the years since the original website was built, A & M Joinery had evolved as a business and some of the products and services had changed. The website needed a complete rebuild of the design and content, to better showcase the business.

When visitors go to the website the browser displays the site security as unsecured.

Firstly we needed to transfer the website over to our Smarter Website hosting server.

A Smart Page Builder conversion then had to be completed. Along with upgrading and installing our plugin suite and software. 

Finally the rebuild process began.

Once the website was on our hosting server and running our latest plugins and software, the build process began.

We made sure in the rebuild the homepage showcased the businesses main aspects. Timber bifold doors, timber window frames and standard door frames were the main three doorway buttons. Further down the page followed their other product and services.

Through out the homepage we included multiple call to actions, to increase visitor click through and lead generation.

The client was more than happy with the new website and created new content for us to upload into the site.

A&M Joinery now have a high quality, professional and visually appealing modern website.

It runs efficiently and displays a green secured padlock on the web browser when visitors are on the website, keeping the bounce rate low.

The website now has strong call to actions through out the site, increasing visitor click through and lead generation.

The client is extremely happy with the transformation and is already seeing the benefits from having a high performaning website.

The Client:

Owner Dwayne Van Den Ancker is in the security doors and screens industry, also offering roller shutters, patio enclosures as well as custom wardrobe solutions.

Dwayne has operated the business for more than 15 years and has more than 25 years industry experience.

Dwayne has built a team that not only have excellent product knowledge that are able to help their customers find the right security solutions, but customers can also feel safe in the knowledge that all of their installers are licenced by the WA Police Commercial Agents Squad.

Dwayne was not getting the web traffic increase and enquiries boost that had been promised by many supposed SEO ‘Experts’ and marketers.

Not only that the ‘bounce’ rate on the website (one-page visitors) was exceptionally high, which was detracting from his Google SEO (search engine optimisation) score.

Website visit times were low which is also a negative with Google.

On the website there was no ‘get a quote’ option, only ‘contact us’ link to go to yet another page taking more time to load so a bad user experience.

Initially we focussed solely on improving the on-page and off-page SEO (search engine optimisation) to increase traffic.

Although we gained a good increase in web traffic, the site design did not help the enquiry rate proportionately.

There were links to services, that did not look like links, and tabs that looked like links that weren’t. It was a mess.

We scoped doing a website rebuild focussing on his 3 main profitable services.

A big consideration was increasing how many pages were visited, which translates into increased engagement with people, and brownie points with Google.

Not only that, it also increases how long people are on the website, which again earns you more brownie points with Google, but again increases the trust factor of people so more likely to do business with you.

Create a ‘get a quote’ system that had an instant ‘popup’ quote form, so quick and users love it. Plus, a success page for a complete better user experience.

Identify the ‘cash cows’ for the business. What were those top profitable services? What will make Dwayne more money this week if he had more of those enquiries?

We did a ‘wireframe’ outlining the new ‘functions’ of the website. Once that was approved we went into design mode.

We cloned the main website to ensure the integrity of the SEO remained, then went into ‘build’ mode.

Our design process ensures the build was done very quickly and the new site went live within 6 weeks.

It’s early days yet but already an increase in ‘click-throughs’ means more pages visited, so brownie points with Google and brownie points with Google.

Also, an increase in website visit times.

Better user experience with the ‘get a quote’ form structure, also better tracking of enquiry results.

We’ll update this ‘results’ section as more results come in.
